Automatic compensation for broadband and landline faults

House Owners who receive bad provider from their telecoms provider are to get Automatic compensation, the regulator Ofcom has announced.

From 2019 they will get £8 a day if a fault shouldn’t be fastened, paid as a refund thru their bill.

This Is less than the £10 that was once proposed when Ofcom commenced its consultation previous this year.

Providers will even must pay £5 a day if their broadband or landline will not be engaged on the day it was once promised.

If an engineer misses an appointment, they are going to have to provide £25 in compensation.

Ofcom has estimated as many as 2.6 million people might take advantage of the brand new rules.
