Fire engulfs tower block in Latimer Road, west London

An Enormous Fire has engulfed a tower block in Latimer Road, west London, with images suggesting the flames have spread to all 24 storeys.

The Fireplace at Grenfell Tower on the Lancaster West Estate was once suggested at 01:16 BST and about 200 firefighters are tackling the blaze.

The Metropolitan Police mentioned “an evacuation course of is below manner”.

The BBC’s Andy Moore stated the whole tower block used to be alight and there are fears the constructing may give way.

The London Hearth Brigade say Forty Fireplace engines had been sent to the tower.

Eyewitnesses say they may see lights – regarded as torches – flashing on the top of the block of apartments, which people say is “with regards to burning thru”.

George Clarke, the presenter of amazing Spaces, advised Radio 5 Are Living: “I Am getting coated in ash, that is how bad it is.

“I Am 100 metres away and i am absolutely covered in ash.

“It Is so heartbreaking, I’ve considered somebody flashing their torches at the top stage and so they obviously cannot get out.”
