Northwestern University rower missing after falling overboard

Authorities have been looking a channel in a north Chicago suburb on Monday for a Northwestern College rower who fell overboard all the way through morning apply, officials stated.

The Lads’s workforce was practising within the North Shore Channel near the Northwestern campus when a rower fell into the water, Alan Cubbage, vice president for College family members, said in a statement.

A train was once accompanying the rowers in a separate boat and any other member of the staff went into the water so as to rescue the rower, Cubbage mentioned.

A Few legislation enforcement and fire department businesses are participating within the seek for the missing rower, who has not been recognized, Jason Bradley, a spokesman for the Illinois State Police mentioned.

The rower was once not wearing a life jacket, local NBC affiliate WMAQ-TV mentioned, citing Cubbage.

Crew is a club recreation at Northwestern, an individual University with about 21,000 students in Evanston, Illinois. The crew used to be founded in 1981, in line with the workforce’s website online.
