Olympics: France's Macron to support Paris bid in Lausanne – sources

French President Emmanuel Macron will enhance Paris’s bid to host the 2024 Olympic Games at a last presentation by way of candidate cities in July, bid sources said on Tuesday.

Macron, who took office on Sunday, will commute to International Olympic Committee (IOC) headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland for the July 11-12 presentation, the sources stated.

Paris is competing towards los angeles for the fitting to host the experience.

It was once now not immediately clear whether or not Macron would be in Lima on Sept. 13 when the host metropolis shall be chosen.

Macron met with the IOC Evaluation Fee and Paris mayor Anne Hidalgo, in addition to bid leaders Tony Estanguet and Bernard Lapasset, on the Elysee Palace on Tuesday morning.
