Patrick Bergin to play ‘old-school villain’ on EastEnders

Slumbering with the Enemy superstar Patrick Bergin – the person who became towel-straightening into an indication of malevolent intent – is becoming a member of EastEnders.

The Robin Hood actor will play Aidan Maguire, a jail good friend of Phil Mitchell’s who’s described as a “charismatic Old-faculty villain”.

The Sixty Six-12 Months-Previous will start filming this month and will seem on reveal in opposition to the top of the Year.

Bergin mentioned he was “delighted” to join a cleaning soap he had “watched and admired.”

He stated Bergin can be working closely with Phil (Steve McFadden) and Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) to “raise a truly explosive storyline” over Christmas and New Year.

Born in Dublin in 1951, Bergin’s latest credit embody heist movie We Nonetheless Steal the Old Approach and Irish TELEVISION collection Pink Rock.
