A Teacher from the Canadian Arctic has been named because the winner of the annual International Instructor Prize.
Maggie MacDonnell, who teaches at a remote village College, spoke on the award ceremony about the problem of youth suicides in the Inuit community.
The winner was once introduced by using a video-hyperlink with astronauts on the International Space Station.
She used to be congratulated by means of Canadian High Minister Justin Trudeau – who stated she used to be “shaping the longer term”.
“You chose to show on the Ikusik School in Salluit, a remote village in the Canadian Arctic.

A video message from Prince Harry was once screened and the ceremony was attended through the vp of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Astronaut Thomas Pesquet, speaking from the Global Area Station, stated: “I Would prefer to be the first person in historical past to thank all the world’s Teachers from House.”
The Highest 10 finalists included a UK Instructor, Raymond Chambers, who teaches computer science at Brooke Weston Academy, Corby, Northamptonshire.
