Manics cancel V Festival appearance

The Manic Side Road Preachers have cancelled their appearance at the V Competition in Essex.

Posting on Twitter the rock band stated it was “with large feel sorry about” they had to announce “the cancellation” of their “exhibit in Chelmsford”.

The team were due to play after the Sziget Pageant in Budapest however “after five hours on the runway” in Hungary were instructed their airplane “would now not fly.”

The band said they would be taking part in at V Festival in Staffordshire on Sunday.

The band tweeted they made “every endeavour to get back to the uk in time to play”.

They delivered: “The band apologise to their enthusiasts at V Chelmsford for the cancellation.”
